Youth Development in Dublin

Born in Dunboyne, County Meath, Darius began his football journey at age 9 with local side St Mochta's in Clonsilla. This grassroots environment helped him build strong fundamentals, work ethic and love for the game in a typical Irish suburban setting. His talent was quickly spotted, leading to the move to St Patrick's Athletic academy in summer 2021.

Breakthrough at St Patrick's Athletic

At St Pats, Lipsiuc progressed rapidly through the youth ranks. He played in UEFA Youth League matches and made his senior debut in 2022 at just 17 years old against Shamrock Rovers. Although limited in first-team minutes, his performances showed maturity and potential as a dynamic midfielder.

Move to English Football

In January 2024, Stoke City signed him for an undisclosed fee, seeing him as a promising addition to their academy. He made his senior debut in the EFL Cup against Fleetwood Town in September 2024. To accelerate development, he went on loan to Walsall (League Two) in early 2025, followed by Solihull Moors (National League) in July 2025 for regular senior football.

International Pathway

Lipsiuc has been a regular in Ireland's youth teams since U17 level, including UEFA qualifiers. His first U21 call-up came in November 2024, and he has since earned 8 caps. This steady progression underlines his status as one of Ireland's promising midfield talents.
